Davis’sWaste Assessment
Davis began the year by performing a Waste Assessment to figure out how much trash -- and how much recyclable material -- is thrown away each day.
Take a look at what the other schools are up to.
In the first year of the grant program, Davis Elementary will:

Begin recycling classroom/office paper, cans, and bottles
Promote using both sides of the page for both students and teachers
Purchase a set of reusable containers and utensils for the staff lounge
The student members of Davis’ Green Team will also:
Kick off the “Use 2X” campaign with a competition announced at Flag Deck
Hold a decorating contest for classroom recycling bins
Hold monthly Friday Flag Deck presentations on the importance of reduce, reuse, and recycle
