In the first year of the program, Green Valley students and teachers plan to:
·
Start a paper towel reduction campaign
Donate unused food items to a food bank
Launch a No Waste Lunch Campaign
To make sure everyone knows about the new program, a new student eco club will be formed, along with the following activities:
Posters will be displayed in the halls showing how much food is wasted in a given day, week, month, and year
Working with the Theater teacher, students will create a video documenting the food waste issue in a fun and educational way
Collaborating with the Art teacher, student sculptures and art work made out of recycled materials will be on display
